What Entertaining Actually Looks Like in a Close In Backyard

Homeowners are spending more time outdoors than they used to, and it’s not a small shift. A 2025 Talker Research survey of 2,000 homeowners, commissioned by Trex, found people estimating close to 12 hours a week outside, up from under 10 hours the year before. That’s a real jump, and most of it is going toward hosting and gathering, not just yard work.
